Velu

Velu is an accounting and financial advisory firm that works almost entirely with nonprofits. Its services include outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, fund accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, grant advisory and compliance, Form 990 and nonprofit tax work, and advisory work that connects programs to funding and staffing. Tyler Wilcox, a CPA, founded the firm and leads it, and clients have ranged from startups to nonprofits approaching $10 million in annual activity.

The firm serves organizations across the United States, with clients in sectors such as affordable housing, workforce development, food insecurity, arts and culture, and education. Work is done through a discovery call first, which runs about 45 minutes with no obligation. Velu is based on Jones Street in Omaha, Nebraska, and works largely with QuickBooks Online.
