Omaha Gymnastics Academy

Omaha Gymnastics Academy teaches gymnastics to children from toddlers through competitive teams, with KinderGym and Gym Tots classes for the youngest kids and recreation classes after that. Its teams include Xcel, Girls Dev, Girls Elite and a boys team, and the academy hosts its own meets. The academy says it aims to build self-confidence, self-discipline, work ethic and goal-setting along with gymnastics skills.

The academy has two locations, one on Browne Street in Omaha and one in Papillion. Gym Tots are for toddlers 18 to 36 months and are attended with a parent or guardian. KinderGym children must be fully potty trained and have turned 3, and parents of kids ages 3 to 5 can watch from a climate-controlled lobby. The South location traces its roots to 1976, when it began as the Omega School of Gymnastics in Papillion.
