Hempel Sheet Metal

Hempel Sheet Metal Works is a full service metal fabrication shop that works in stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, galvanized and mild steel. Its work runs from tanks, electrical boxes and gutters to food handling equipment, machine guards, architectural metal and specialty countertops and hoods.

The company has been in business since 1903 and is run by the fourth generation of the Hempel family. Much of its work comes from architects, engineering firms, general contractors, hospitals and food processing plants, as well as restaurants and electrical contractors. The shop is at 1255 S. 13th St. in Omaha, and the site lists welding of all types, including heliarc, MIG, stick and soldering.
