Foster's Sharpening Service

Foster's Sharpening Service sharpens knives, scissors, mower blades and manual garden tools at a home workshop in south Omaha and at select Hy-Vee stores and other retail locations around the metro. The shop does not sharpen electric or gas-powered tools, or saws.

Drop-offs can be left in the box at the home workshop any time, with contact information included, and orders usually take three to four business days. Same-day sharpening is offered at the workshop on Thursdays, when drop-offs are taken from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Payment is by cash, check or Venmo. The business has been family owned since 2004.
