The Painted Plate

The Painted Plate is a paint-your-own pottery studio in Olympia. Guests choose a handmade piece from the selection, paint it, and pick it up after it is finished, usually about a week later. Groups, dates, and solo visitors all come in, and the studio also serves espresso, ice cream, wine, beer, and savory plates to enjoy while painting. Prices range to fit different budgets, and there are specials for every age.

Reservations are strongly encouraged, especially on weekends and holidays, though drop-ins are welcome when seating is open. Final seating to paint is generally two hours before closing, and reservations on busy days are limited to two-hour sessions. The studio hosts kids' parties, work parties, bridal showers, anniversaries, and family gatherings. Takeout kits and gift cards are also available.
