Puget Sound K9 Academy

Puget Sound K9 Academy is a dog training business that uses classical conditioning and positive reinforcement to teach obedience and new commands. The owner has more than 30 years of experience in dog training, and the program is built around the owner-dog relationship as much as the dog itself. Newer classes combine obedience, scent work and agility in one 45-minute session designed for dogs of all ages and experience levels.

All classes start with one-on-one sessions, and the academy accepts all sizes and breeds. New clients need to bring proof of vaccination, and an evaluation can be scheduled by phone with the evaluation fee waived. The academy is at 5945 Littlerock Road in Tumwater and does not offer refunds, and credit card payments carry a 3 percent processing fee.
