Before~N~After Dog Training

Before ~N~ After Dog Training is a canine behavior consultancy led by Belinda N. Ahern, a master trainer and canine consultant. The work focuses on why a dog behaves a certain way and how to change it, covering behavioral assessments, root cause analysis, puppy development, small breed work, and support for senior, deaf, and blind dogs. Programs also include titles and AKC certification prep, service dog training, a kids' program, and therapy dog integration for counselors.

Most work happens in the client's home, with sessions held in person or over Zoom. A free phone inquiry is offered before booking, and the initial in-home consultation runs about two hours. Ahern also gives workshops and professional education for clinicians and wellness practitioners. The business is based at 107 Ayers Point Road in Old Saybrook, and it serves clients across Connecticut.
