Hermitage Golf Course

Hermitage Golf Course is a public golf facility with two 18-hole courses, the General's Retreat and the President's Reserve, set along the Cumberland River and through about 300 acres of Tennessee wetlands. The President's Reserve plays up to 7,200 yards and is ranked among the top 10 courses in Tennessee by Golf Digest. The General's Retreat hosted the LPGA Sara Lee Classic from 1988 to 1999.

The course is known for its Scottish Blackfaced sheep, more than 40 of which roam the grounds year-round. Hermitage also has eight cottages and two lodges on property, so groups can stay and play, and it hosts weddings, meetings and social events. The course is at 3939 Old Hickory Blvd in Old Hickory, and it is open daily from 7 AM to 8 PM, closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
