Affordable homeownership and home repair for limited-income Oklahoma familiesOklahoma City, OK
Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit homebuilder that has been helping limited-income families buy affordable homes since 1987, with more than 1,100 houses built so far. Families purchase their homes with no down payment and no closing costs. The organization also does critical home repair for homeowners and runs two ReStore shops in Oklahoma City that sell new and used home goods, appliances, cabinets, flooring and furniture, many of them donated.
Habitat families are hard-working local residents who go through homeownership classes and the application process before moving in. Donors can schedule a ReStore pickup online or by phone, or drop items off during open hours at either store. Donations are tax deductible, and donors receive a receipt. The ReStores are open Monday through Friday and on Saturdays, and they are closed on Sundays.
