Roots Coffee Bar

Roots Coffee Bar is a downtown Oconomowoc café serving espresso drinks, teas, and sandwiches, soups, and salads alongside a homemade bakery. The coffee is fair trade and organic, roasted by Anodyne, and the lattes are made with rBGH-free milk. Sandwiches are made fresh, with hand-sliced meats and wheat-free or vegetarian options, and breakfast is served all day.

The café is on East Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Oconomowoc, near Lake Fowler. It is run by sisters Heidi and Hilary, who opened it in 2011, and family members are often working in the shop. Hours are weekday mornings through late afternoon, with a shorter weekend schedule, and the kitchen closes earlier than the shop does.
