Iron Sights Shooting Range

Iron Sights Shooting Range is a public indoor range with 24 lanes, including a 25-yard rifle range and a 15-yard pistol range. The range rents more than 130 pistols, rifles and shotguns from brands such as Glock, Sig Sauer, Beretta and Ruger, so newcomers can try several models before buying. It also runs classes and certification courses, from first-time shooters through advanced training, along with events and a store selling gun accessories and ammunition.

Shooters can pay a per-person range fee, with a lower rate for second and third shooters on the same lane, and law enforcement and active or retired military get a discounted rate. Hearing and eye protection are included free. Rental guns must use range ammunition, and each rental needs a friend on the range or a personal firearm. Gun sales and paperwork stop at 6 pm and require appointments. The range is at 618 Airport Rd. in Oceanside, California.
