United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers

The United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers is a labor union for people who install roofing and waterproofing systems. Its members work on low-sloped and steep-sloped roofs, vegetative and solar photovoltaic roofs, structural waterproofing, air barriers and building envelopes. The union is known for its training work, including an apprenticeship program and a joint research and education trust.

This Oak Brook office is Local Union 11, one of several local offices across the country, with the national headquarters in Washington, DC. Members working for signatory contractors can find information on the union's pension and health and welfare plans. The union publishes a quarterly journal, The Journeyman Roofer & Waterproofer, and lists job openings for union roofers on its website.
