Portman Electric

Portman Electric, through its Portman Generators division, is a generator installation and maintenance company in northeast Ohio. The team sells and installs Generac standby generators for homes and businesses, and has worked on projects ranging from residential jobs to commercial, industrial and hotel backup systems. The company was established in 1988 as an extension of Portman Electric, Inc.

Installation covers the outdoor pad, placing the unit, running the natural gas or LP fuel line, installing the transfer switch and making the electrical connections, followed by a check before the first outage. Annual maintenance programs are available, and factory-trained technicians handle Generac servicing and warranty work. The shop is on Kinsman Road in Novelty, Ohio, and the company serves customers across Northeast Ohio.
