South County RI BBQ

Oak Hill Tavern is a casual restaurant and tavern known for slow-smoked barbecue, with ribs and chicken cooked over hardwoods in a wood-fired oven. The menu also includes steaks, seafood and burgers, and the bar keeps a whiskey list. Rhode Island Monthly has named its ribs the best in South County, and the building was once a stagecoach stop.

Walk-ins are welcome and seated first come, first served, and takeout is available. Live music runs on weekends, with musical bingo on Thursday nights, and the tavern hosts private events. Wednesday is Wacky Wing Wednesday. Gift cards are sold, and the tavern is on Tower Hill Road in North Kingstown.
