Adirondack Guide Boat

Adirondack Guide Boat builds custom Adirondack guideboats, rowing dories and packboats by hand, with cedar and composite hulls. The lineup includes a 15-foot Adirondack guideboat, a 14-foot Vermont fishing dory, a 12-foot Vermont packboat and a 12-foot ultra-light solo packboat. Two brothers, Justin and Ian, run the shop, and customers mention their steam-bent cedar ribs, fiberglass-coated hulls and fine wood trim.

Boats can be bought ready to deliver from the current inventory or ordered custom, and the shop offers a kit option for home builders. Delivery can be arranged at boat shows when ordered in advance. The business is based in North Ferrisburgh, Vermont, and sells rowboat accessories and maintenance supplies through an online store.
