Southern Lady Mattresses

Southern Lady Mattresses is a family-owned mattress manufacturer that has been hand-making mattresses since 1914. Its made-to-order mattresses and box springs go to boutique hotels, resorts, colleges, cruise ships, healthcare facilities and furniture and mattress stores, and the company also offers flippable models, latex, gel memory foam and hybrid options. The company describes itself as a fifth-generation business run by the Weil family.

Southern Lady does not sell directly to consumers within shipping distance of its dealer network, so home buyers are pointed to a nearby dealer to try a mattress. Its Boutique Series can be bought through dealers or direct to consumers outside the dealer delivery area. The shop is in North Charleston, and it is open Monday through Friday during business hours.
