Bold Mariner

Bold Mariner is a veteran-owned brewery in Norfolk, known for craft beer, locally roasted coffee and a seaside taproom. The Mess Deck serves seasonal bites and shareable plates meant to pair with the house beers, and the bar pours a flagship lager alongside rotating taps, wine and cider. Founded by a Navy veteran in 2015, it also runs a morning coffee and pastry menu and a merchandise shop.

The taproom is open daily, with lunch and dinner service and trivia on Thursday evenings. Private events can be booked at its Ocean View venue for gatherings of all sizes, and the Strongback mug club offers monthly, quarterly or yearly memberships. The brewery is at 1901 E. Ocean View Ave, a short walk from the Chesapeake Bay.
