Midtown Health Center

Midtown Health Center is a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center that provides medical, dental and behavioral health care under one roof. It was founded in 1999 to offer low-cost care to people without insurance, and it still focuses on patients who face barriers to care. Services include primary medical care, dental work, counseling, a recovery program for people dependent on prescription painkillers, and reproductive health services.

Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments can be booked by phone or online. The Norfolk Xpress walk-in clinic on South 3rd Street takes patients without an appointment on weekdays. Care is offered on a sliding fee scale based on income, and the clinic accepts Medicaid. Midtown also has clinics in Madison and West Point, and an after-hours nurse line is available for questions outside office hours.
