J.M. Mershon Builders

J.M. Mershon Builders is a general contracting firm in Newtown, Pennsylvania, offering new houses, additions, renovations, kitchens and baths, outdoor living spaces and custom carpentry. The company was founded in 1952 by Jim Mershon, and today his three sons run the business, with one of the brothers, Dave, also a licensed electrician. Projects include framing, siding, windows and doors, and roofing, along with some commercial work.

Each job includes a free estimate of materials and labor along with a timeframe for completion, and an owner is on site during the project. Mershon handles permits and inspections in-house and works with trusted local plumbing and electrical subcontractors. Crews remove construction debris frequently, usually daily, so dumpsters are not left on the property. The office is at 192 Wright Road in Newtown.
