K-9 Camp Dog Obedience School

K-9 Camp Dog Obedience School trains family dogs in basic and advanced obedience, along with agility work and in-home training. The school works with dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes, including those with reactive or aggressive behavior, separation anxiety, jumping, leash pulling and barking. Its method, built on what owner Mark Tobin calls the 3 P's of practice, patience and praise, uses positive reinforcement rather than yelling, grabbing or treat-based bribery.

Tobin, a former lead trainer for the New Castle County Police K9 Unit, owns the school and leads the training himself. Classes are held in Delaware and Pennsylvania, and in-home sessions are also offered, so owners can choose what suits their dog. The school serves Northern Delaware and nearby areas including Wilmington, Newark, Middletown, Chadds Ford, Elkton and Greenville.
