Del Haven Jewelers

Del Haven Jewelers is a family-run jeweler that sells fine jewelry from a range of brands, repairs watches and jewelry, restores pieces, buys and sells gold, and creates custom designs. The shop has been in business since 1973, when Francis Pepeta Sr. opened its first showroom in downtown Wilmington, and it is now run by the second generation of the family.

Custom work is a big part of the business. Customers can bring in a design they have in mind, include their own diamonds or gemstones, match a new wedding band to an existing engagement ring, or work from a piece they already own. The shop is at 140 Peoples Plaza in Newark, Delaware, and the owners say the staff walks customers through each step of the process. Its hours are posted on the site, with the shop closed on Sundays.
