Tropical Isle is a group of bars on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter, best known for the Hand Grenade, a potent frozen-style drink sold alongside the Shark Attack, Horny Gator and Tropical Itch. The bars feature live music most nights, from rock and zydeco to Trop Rock.
The flagship location at Bourbon and Orleans has two levels and a large balcony called the Top of the Trop, with a view of St. Louis Cathedral, and it can be rented privately for events. The Bourbon Street Honky Tonk and Little Tropical Isle are nearby, and the group also sells Hand Grenade drink mix, souvenirs and clothing for home use. Mix orders can be placed by phone or online.
