Miss Shirley's Chinese Restaurant

Miss Shirley's Chinese Restaurant serves dim sum alongside Chinese-American standards and less common Cantonese dishes. The menu runs from steamed and fried dumplings, shumai and shrimp toast to salt and pepper wings, fried rice, lo mein, Singapore noodles and moo shu. Several dishes are marked gluten-free or can be made gluten-free on request, and the restaurant has a full bar with cocktails, beer, wine and sake.

The restaurant is on Magazine Street in New Orleans' Irish Channel and is open for lunch and dinner most days, with a midday-only schedule on Sundays and a closed Tuesday. Reservations are taken only by email for parties of 10 or more, and a credit card is required to hold one. Bringing your own bottle carries a $25 corkage fee, and gift cards are available.
