Haydel's Bakery

Haydel's Bakery is a family bakery in New Orleans known for Cajun Kringle, Cajunnolis and King Cakes, along with traditional cakes, pastries and petit fours. David Haydel, Sr. is certified as a Craftsman and Master Baker, and the bakery holds a Guinness record for the world's largest King Cake. Its wedding, birthday and special occasion cakes are made to order.

Many of its baked goods ship nationwide, and the bakery is a popular source of King Cakes during Mardi Gras and Cajun Kringles at Christmas. Walk-ins are welcome, and wedding cake consultations are taken by appointment or on a walk-in basis during set hours. The bakery is at 4037 Jefferson Highway in New Orleans, and it is closed Sundays and Mondays.
