Flour Moon Bagels is a New Orleans bagel shop that rolls and kettle boils its bagels by hand, with a long cold fermentation and a fresh batch baked every morning. Breakfast sandwiches, made-to-order tartines with cured and smoked fish, and bagels sold by the dozen are the core of the menu, along with cream cheeses and schmears, coffee and a few cocktails.
The shop is a woman-owned business started as a home-kitchen pop-up in 2020 and opened its brick-and-mortar location in Mid-City in 2022, just off the Lafitte Greenway. It is open weekday mornings and weekends until 2 pm, with Wednesdays closed, and it posts a rotating weekly special. The shop also runs a food truck and sells bagels at events, and it takes catering inquiries.
