Katahdin Furniture of New Haven

Katahdin Furniture is a specialty store in downtown New Haven that sells custom-made furniture and upholstery alongside toys, collectibles, home decor and gifts. The furniture selection includes sofas, desks, dressers and dining tables, plus rugs, dinnerware and one-of-a-kind pieces made by local artists. Owner Matthew Whiting also takes on consultations for larger projects and furnishes offices and stores for local businesses.

The shop has been in operation for more than 20 years. Visitors can come in, call, or send a message to set up an appointment for a consultation. Gift shoppers will find candles, handmade decorative butterflies, games, puzzles and holiday items, and the staff will help match a gift or piece of furniture to what the buyer needs.
