Herbert's

Herbert's is a Tex-Mex restaurant in New Braunfels that has been serving the town since 1976. The kitchen makes fajitas, enchiladas, street tacos and queso, with homemade flour tortillas, fresh chips and locally sourced meats. The enchilada gravy is a house favorite that keeps regulars coming back.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served, and the weekday lunch special is $9.99 from 11am to 2pm. The large patio has a playground, which suits families, and there is live mariachi on weekends. Reservations are taken most nights, takeout and curbside pickup are available, and the banquet hall hosts private groups of up to 50.
