McKay's

McKay's is a used bookstore and record store where most of the stock comes from customers selling or trading in their own books, music, movies, video games and more. Shelves hold a wide mix of titles, so no two visits look the same. The business has grown beyond books to include musical instruments, collectibles and electronics.

Customers can sell items for cash or take store credit toward other purchases. The store can't say in advance whether a particular item is in stock, so browsing is the way to find something. The Nashville shop is one of several McKay's locations, which also include stores in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Winston-Salem and Mebane, North Carolina. Gift cards are available.
