Bill Taylor Karate School

Bill Taylor Karate School teaches Wado Ryu karate, adult and kids martial arts, cardio kickboxing and boxing to students of all ages, from kinder-karate through seniors. The school has run in Murfreesboro since 1972 and says it is the town's first and largest private martial arts facility. Classes for kids and adults are kept separate, and birthday parties with martial arts activities are offered.

The school has two Murfreesboro locations, one on NW Broad Street and one on Business Campus Drive in the south part of town, and offers a free tour to newcomers who text KARATETOUR to the listed number. Founder Bill Taylor, who began studying Wado Ryu in 1973, is known locally for free self-defense seminars, school anti-bullying programs and stranger danger talks.
