Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM)

The Society of Critical Care Medicine is a professional membership organization for clinicians and others who work in critical care. It publishes the journals Critical Care Medicine, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Critical Care Explorations, and runs continuing education such as its Critical Care Congress, SCCM Stream, LearnICU courses and review and assessment programs. It also develops clinical practice guidelines, including the Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines, and supports quality initiatives like ICU Liberation.

Membership is open to professionals and associates, with member benefits that include journal subscriptions and discounts on education. The society's headquarters is at 500 Midway Drive in Mount Prospect, Illinois, and it hosts courses at member institutions as well as global health and humanitarian programs.
