MELHORN

Melhorn is a poultry logistics company that transports pullets and fowl for layer producers, with loading and unloading crews, biosecurity-focused equipment cleaning, and spent fowl marketing. The company has been in business since 1957, starting as a local operation that built pullet houses and later grew into a multi-state service provider.

Melhorn works with producers across Pennsylvania and the Midwest, with a main office on West Main Street in Mount Joy and a second location in Van Wert, Ohio. It operates as part of the Paragon Poultry family of companies, so producers can coordinate bird handling and vaccination services through one contact.
