Two Teacher Construction, Inc.

Two Teacher Construction is a deck builder that designs and builds composite, cedar and hybrid decks, along with screen porches, pergolas, railing and deck lighting. Most of the work is maintenance-free composite decking and aluminum railing, and the company also offers deck replacement and refurbishment when the existing frame is still sound. Its owner, Steffan Madsen, retired from teaching shop in the Eden Prairie schools in 2017 and still runs the company with his wife Shelly.

Projects start with an on-site estimate, and the crew handles permits with the city and cleans up the site when the job is done. The company is licensed and insured and serves the west and southwest Twin Cities metro, with much of its work around Lake Minnetonka. The office is in Mound.
