The story

Birch Hill Country Club is an 18-hole golf course in Moultonborough, on the northern part of Lake Winnipesaukee. The course runs through hilly terrain with views of the Ossipee Mountains, and it has a mix of holes that suit casual players and more experienced golfers alike. The club was formerly Ridgewood Country Club and changed hands in February 2024, since when the clubhouse and the Overlook Tavern have been renovated.

Play includes 9 and 18 hole rounds, a men's and ladies' league, a 9-and-dine couples league, public and member tournaments, and a driving range with a practice facility for lessons and clinics. The Overlook Tavern serves lunch, dinner and drinks, with a deck overlooking the course and a fireplace lounge for cooler weather. Golfers can book tee times online, and the pro shop takes questions by phone.
