Empire Beauty School

Empire Beauty School trains students for careers in hair, skin and nail services. Its Moosic campus offers a cosmetology program of 1,250 hours, an esthetics and aesthetics program of 300 hours, and a hybrid educator training program of 600 hours. Students get hands-on practice on real clients in the school's student salon and clinic, and the school is accredited by NACCAS.

The school is family-owned and has been operating since 1934. It is at the Birney Mall facility on Birney Avenue in Moosic, a short drive off I-81, and new cosmetology classes start every three weeks. Federal financial aid, grants and scholarships are available to those who qualify, and the admissions team can request a tour or walk applicants through the options.
