Rustic Canyon Golf Course

Rustic Canyon Golf Course is an 18-hole public championship course in Moorpark, opened in 2002 and designed by Gil Hanse Golf Design. The layout was shaped from the natural landscape without detailed blueprints, keeping native barrancas, sagebrush and oaks in view, with contoured free-form greens that reward a bump-and-run approach. The course is ranked 45 in Golf Magazine's Top 100 U.S. public-access courses for 2024-2025 and 5 in Golfweek's Best Public Courses in California for 2024.

Anyone can play, and tee times must be booked online through the club's site. Golf lessons are offered with PGA-certified instructor Ryan Kennedy. The restaurant, Rustic Canyon Grill, is open daily and welcomes non-golfers, and gift cards are available online or at the golf shop. The club is at 15100 Happy Camp Canyon Road in Moorpark.
