Peak Disposal and Recycling

Peak Disposal and Recycling runs a self-service transfer station where households and businesses can haul in their own junk and recyclables. Visitors drive onto the scale, weigh in, unload the material themselves, and pay by the pound, with no minimum weight. The site also lists metal and electronics as items to separate before reaching the scale to save time.

No appointment is needed for drop-off. The station is open six days a week, closed Sundays, and is listed as the closest public drop-off for Tri-Lakes neighborhoods and the Douglas County communities just beyond the Palmer Divide. Coming from Colorado Springs, Briargate, Black Forest, or Falcon, a sister facility on the north side of the Springs may be closer. The station is on Washington Street in downtown Monument.
