Vera’s Kitchen

Vera's Kitchen is a breakfast and lunch restaurant that serves a mix of Latin-inspired and Southern comfort dishes. The menu is best known for its birria tacos and hearty omelets, with classic burgers and homestyle sides also on offer. Chef Luis Vera and his wife Lupita opened the first location in Waxhaw after years working in restaurants like Morton's The Steakhouse and California Pizza Kitchen.

The restaurant has two locations, one in Waxhaw and one in Monroe, and it is open Monday through Saturday from early morning until mid-afternoon, closed on Sundays. The Monroe location has a private party room that seats up to 14 people with no minimum spend, and catering is available. Guests can reserve the party room through the website.
