Southern Range Brewing Co. is a craft brewery and taproom in downtown Monroe, open since 2016 and known for its hazy IPAs, its easy-drinking Carolina Pilsner and its award-winning Tiny Ass Umbrella. The 30-barrel brewhouse also makes seasonal shandies, a fruited wheat, a grape hard soda and hard seltzers, and the taproom keeps a few non-craft beers, wine and frozen slushies for guests who want something else.
The taproom is open Wednesday through Sunday, with live music, food trucks and an outdoor stage on weekends, and the patio is a common gathering spot. Dogs are welcome. The Barrel Room can be booked for private parties with no rental fee, though a minimum bar tab applies. Cans and bottles can also be shipped to customers in more than 30 states.
