Heaven On Earth Oaks

Heaven On Earth Oaks is a historic Victorian mansion that has operated as an event venue since 1970. Weddings, receptions and corporate gatherings are the main draw, with 22-foot cathedral ceilings, a grand staircase with a curved balcony salvaged from Governor William P. Hobby's mansion, and chandeliers throughout. The venue also displays the original sleigh from the 1965 film Dr. Zhivago.

The grounds include a courtyard and open lawns shaded by 200-year-old oak trees, so the same property can host an intimate garden ceremony or a larger outdoor reception. The building began as a three-room cottage and has hosted more than 15,000 events over the years. Planning is handled with the venue's staff, and the calendar tends to fill quickly, so it pays to inquire early. The venue is in Missouri City.
