Scoops Ice Cream

Scoops is a family-owned ice cream parlor in Bloomington that has been serving ice cream since 1994. The shop rotates 32 flavors, 20 of them year-round staples, along with seasonal specials, malts and sundaes. Owners Mark and Heidi Wavinak opened it across from Dred Scott Field, and it has become a familiar stop for neighborhood families and ballpark crowds.

Scoops runs a seasonal schedule, typically open from spring through October, with longer hours in summer. Orders can be picked up at the counter, placed ahead for pickup, or delivered through DoorDash. The shop also brings its ice cream cart to school carnivals, festivals, birthdays, weddings and sports events around the southwest metro. The shop is at 7700 West Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington, and it has outdoor seating for customers who want to sit and enjoy their treats.
