Rainmaker Outdoor Services

Rainmaker Outdoor Services is a family-owned landscaping and irrigation company that has served residential properties in the north metro since 1997. Core work includes irrigation installation and repair, landscaping and planting, hardscapes, and snow removal, with year-round lawn care and landscape maintenance offered as well. Founder Mike Cobb started the business, and his son Nick Cobb now works in it alongside the rest of the family.

The company says it does not subcontract and will refer out any job it cannot handle itself. Free estimates are offered on landscaping and irrigation systems, and the work is licensed and insured. Most of its business comes through referrals and word of mouth. The office is on Quinn Street in Coon Rapids, and the crew serves a long list of north metro cities including Blaine, Andover, Fridley and Maple Grove.
