Thrift stores funding programs for people with disabilitiesMinneapolis, MN

Arc's Value Village runs three thrift stores that sell gently used clothing, household goods, collectibles and other finds, with about 20,000 items arriving each day. Donated goods are sorted and sold, and the proceeds fund programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities through The Arc Minnesota. The stores have operated since 1982 and are known for organized racks, with clothing sorted by size and color, and roomy fitting rooms.
Shoppers can use a free personal shopping service, join the Village Rewards program that earns points for shopping, donating and volunteering, or buy items through the organization's eBay store. Clothing, household items and vehicles can all be donated, and volunteers help keep the stores running. The stores are in Richfield, Bloomington and New Hope and are open every day.
