Apex Personal Training

Apex Personal Training is a personal training gym in Golden Valley, founded in 2011 by Joel Eshelman after years of one-on-one work at a big box gym. Its best-known offering is Personalized Group Training, where small groups with similar goals get individual workout plans and coaching, alongside semi-private and one-on-one sessions.

Workouts are published in advance and mix strength lifts, conditioning on rowers and bikes, and bodyweight days, with each day scaled to the member's fitness level. Beginners often start with two to four sessions a week, and the gym suggests three classes per week at first. New visitors can book a free intro session to tour the gym and meet the coaches. A 24/7 open gym and a members app let people train on their own schedule, and the gym serves north Golden Valley and nearby areas.
