Great River Golf Club

Great River Golf Club is a private and semi-private 18-hole course in Milford, designed by Tommy Fazio and opened for play in 2001. The course runs along the Housatonic River, with one nine winding through tidal wetlands and the other rising high above the water in a links style. It has hosted USGA qualifying events, intercollegiate tournaments and an LPGA Epson Tour championship.

The club is owned by Sacred Heart University and serves as the home course for its Division I men's and women's golf teams, with coaching offices and indoor training inside the clubhouse. Members, golf academy students and visitors can book the course, and the clubhouse also hosts weddings, corporate events and bar and bat mitzvahs. Monty's River Grille, the on-site restaurant, offers fine dining.
