Haymaker Bun Company

Haymaker Bun Company is a bakery and cafe known for warm, fresh-baked brioche buns in sweet, savory and chocolate-infused versions. Each morning the bakery rolls out a rotating selection of handmade pastries alongside Brio Coffeeworks espresso and a full breakfast, and lunch brings a seasonal, locally sourced menu. The buns are made fresh daily, and the owner, a classically trained French pastry chef, sources many ingredients from Vermont farms.

The Middlebury cafe sits downtown on the Otter Creek River, with three floors of indoor seating and an outdoor deck in summer. Weekend brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays. Customers can dine in, get takeout or curbside pickup, or order catering in Middlebury and Burlington. Frozen Four Packs of buns are sold in stores across Vermont and can be shipped.
