The Central Cafe

The Central Cafe is a pizza and drinks spot in Middleboro that has been serving customers since 1923, making it the town's oldest cafe. Its cheese pizza is the house staple and a favorite for post-game celebrations, and the menu also covers burgers, fish and chips on Thursdays, buffalo chicken pizza and Chicken Broccoli Alfredo. The bar has a century-old mahogany bar with a chestnut rail, and the draft beer selection is a point of pride.

The cafe takes takeout orders by phone or online, and there is a separate $0.75 takeout charge on menu prices. Half-price pizzas run Tuesday and Wednesday, and four cheese pizzas for $25 are available every day to go. The Central is on Centre Street, and the kitchen closes earlier than the dining room on most nights, so late orders may not be possible.
