Family-run Peruvian restaurant serving Miami since 19857971 SW 40th St, Miami, FL
El Chalan Restaurant is a Peruvian restaurant founded in 1985 by Mario Abanto, one of the oldest Peruvian restaurants in Florida. Reviewers often single out the ceviche, the fried seafood and the fresh fish dishes, along with the Lomo Saltado, papa a la huancaina and Chaufa Peruvian fried rice, and the family-style portions.
The restaurant has two locations, one on Bird Road and one on Miami Beach, and the Bird Road address is 7971 SW 40th St. It is open every day from 11 AM to 10 PM, and prices are described as reasonable for the portions. Several generations of the Abanto family have run the place, and many regulars have been coming for decades.
