Taqueria Corona serves Mexican food in a small, casual setting, with tacos at the center of the menu. Fish tacos, ribeye carne asada tacos, shrimp enchiladas and ceviche are on the menu alongside cheese quesadillas. Everything is made fresh to order, using hand-cut produce, cholesterol-free peanut and olive oil, and trimmed lean meats. The Metairie location keeps lunch and dinner hours on weekdays and runs through the evening on weekends. Online ordering is available, and the drink list includes margaritas and eight types of top-shelf tequila. Desserts include flan and Mexican rice pudding. The family-run restaurant began with its first location on Magazine Street in New Orleans in 1988.
