Liberty Welding & Iron Works Co. is an industrial welding and metal fabrication shop that has been in business since 1924. It works in carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel and alloys, building ASME pressure vessels, process and storage vessels, heat exchangers, static mixers, filters and strainers, and custom hazardous collection boxes. The shop also builds rotating inner drum autoclaves and takes architectural, structural and ornamental metal jobs.
The company has an in-house machine shop and an engineering group, and it has worked with clients who need computer modeling or stress analysis to develop custom equipment. It was founded in New Orleans and is now based in Metairie, where it takes phone calls about new equipment and fabrication projects.
