Steak sandwiches and Friday fish fry in a historic 1890 building546 Broad St., Menasha, WI

The Old Grog is a neighborhood bar and grill known for its "Old Grog" steak sandwich, its chicken, and its Friday fish fry. The menu also runs to wings, wraps, flatbread pizza, hot beef and French dip sandwiches, and a long list of appetizers like cheese curds, mini tacos and chili cheese fries. Drink specials run daily.
The building dates to 1890 and has been a brothel, a livery, a grocery and an earlier tavern before The Old Grog opened there in 1973. Original beams from the Menasha Wooden Ware Factory run through the room, and the walls are covered with historic Menasha photos. The bar is a short walk from the Fox River, and the menu includes a kids menu and to-go containers.
